Ashdale Secondary College is excited to welcome a group of Year 10 and 11 students from our sister school, Hikone Higashi High School in Japan, during Week 1 of Term 3, from Tuesday 21 July to Monday 27 July.
As part of our long-standing partnership, visiting students will have the opportunity to experience Australian school and family life while participating in a range of cultural and educational activities. Planned excursions and workshops include visits to Caversham Wildlife Park, cooking lessons, calligraphy, origami, Robot Wars and much more.
We are currently seeking host families for our visiting students. Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding experience that allows families to develop international friendships, learn about another culture and play an important role in supporting our College’s global connections.
Students in Years 9–12 and their families who are interested in hosting a student are encouraged to complete the Expression of Interest available through Qkr! as soon as possible.
