At Ashdale Secondary College, the curriculum is organised into nine (9) major Learning Areas. Students in Years 7 to 10 must participate in studies across these areas, with the flexibility to choose courses that align with their unique strengths, talents, and interests.

Year 7
Year 7 is foundational in secondary school, during which students adjust to new structures and begin exploring specialised Learning Areas. At Ashdale Secondary College, the Year 7 curriculum meets the requirements of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) and the Department of Education.
The course structure is designed to ensure a smooth transition from primary to high school.
Subjects and Classes
Year 7 students at Ashdale take courses across all Learning Areas and are introduced to ‘taster’ subjects in the Arts, Languages, and Technologies Learning Areas.
