Expression of Interest to Host a Year 11 Japanese Exchange Student

By Uncategorized

We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for students and families interested in hosting a Year 11 Japanese exchange student from our Japanese sister school, Hikone Higashi High School. This cultural exchange, filled with Japan’s rich traditions and customs, promises to be an enlightening experience for both our students and the visiting exchange students.

The exchange students will arrive on 24 July and stay until the morning of 31 July. During their stay, they will participate in various activities, including visits to AQWA and Caversham Wildlife Park. Additionally, they will be able to experience Australian student life by attending classes alongside our students.

Hosting families will be pivotal in providing exchange students a safe and welcoming environment. Your role is not just about providing a place to stay but also about creating a home away from home where these students can experience the warmth and diversity of Australian culture. All adults at the residence must attain a Working with Children’s Check. The exchange students will be matched with families based on criteria such as gender, character, interests, hobbies and age.

If you are interested in hosting an exchange student, please complete an expression of interest via Qkr! by 12 May. Once we receive it, we will provide further information about the hosting process.

For any immediate questions or inquiries, please contact Mr Tyson Wilkie via email at tyson.wilkie@education.wa.edu.au.
